What Is Home Care?

‘Home care’ is in-home support care services delivered by trained experienced carers which allows a person to remain in their own home when their care needs change, for example recovering from a period in hospital, affected by age-related symptoms, chronically ill or due to disability.

Typically this support can be assisting with mobilisation, Personal Care (such as help with bathing, washing your hair, or getting dressed) accompanying to GP visits or running errands, companionship and socialisation.

In some cases, the HSE provide ‘Home Care Support Packages’ to support the return to home from hospital or to facilitate an older person remain at home.  You can also get information from Citizens Information here.

Our care teams have up-to-date manual & patient handling techniques and are experienced in working with a wide range of hoists & mobility equipment.

Cancer Support Care

Our care teams are trained to provide practical and emotional support to clients on their individual cancer journey.  Independence & a focus on ability are key.

Stroke Support Care

Quick response to Stroke greatly affects patient outcomes. Our care teams focus on emotional support, client abilities and exercise to support rehabilitation.

Acquired Brain Injury Care

Our care teams work to support daily activities, providing emotional support & meaningful activities to promote independence with a focus on abilities and setting challenges to succeed.

Parkinson’s Support Care

Anxiety which comes with Parkinson’s can be reduced with routine, so we emphasise continuity of care & familiarity with the care team. Further care needs evolve with disease progression.

Palliative Support Care

Care teams are specifically trained to provide practical & emotional support to families & clients with terminal illness and are experienced to work alongside Palliative Nursing teams.
