Sensory Loss Support Care

Studies recognise that acquired sensory loss not only affects the individual but can also significantly impact the well-being of the entire family unit.  This is because the emotional impacts are every bit as significant as the physical in terms of challenges faced by people.  UK and US studies have found (understandably) high levels of anxiety and depression in individuals who have experienced sensory loss and also flag this needs to be acknowledged with supports put in place for them and their families.

We understand that everyone’s experience is individual and unique. That is why we tailor our range of care services to specifically match each clients’ need.  Our care workers have specific experience and training to understand the particular challenges faced by our clients affected with sensory loss.

Our staff are trained in particular strategies anxiety reduction and meaningful involvement to encourage clients and to facilitate everyday tasks of personal care, mealtimes and nutrition, medication management and fostering general well-being.
